Papa Wemba R.I.P
Didnt see this last week, but apologies if done. Papa Wemba died on stage in Abidjan, and was one of my favourite artists. He played Congolese rumba, soukous and ndombolo. Anyone else into this or the likes of Koffi Olomide or Fally Ipupa, or recommend other artists who play similar stuff?

A couple of clips from the big man

I like a bit of world music. Have a thing at present for Boubacar Traoré, plays Malian blues. Maciré is good album.

Do people still say album ?

Wasn't that the less successful follow up to I've never been to me by Charlene?

Anything that involves either of the 2 great Congolese soukous guitarists, Dally Kimoko or Diblo Dibala. Both played with Kanda Bongo Man at various times.

I love African music. Afrobeat, etc. Most of the time I have no idea who the artists are.
